茶 Tea Time

As a second-generation immigrant, I love connecting with my Chinese heritage through food and drink. My dad's hometown in China is steeped in tea tradition, especially the art of Gongfu tea. When hosting guests there, it's standard practice to keep brewing and pouring tea throughout the conversation to keep the connection flowing.

I've brought that tradition into my own life by hosting 'Tea Time' for my friends, where my Kungfu tea set makes an occasional appearance, and we all bring our favorite blends to swap and chat.

I host an annual Chinese New Year potluck for my friends, complete with dumpling-making and plenty of the lucky color red.
